Hello Everyone,

Sorry to say the following girls have not made the final squad for the Leinster U18′s.

I’m sure that all of you would make excellent additions to any club that would be lucky enough to have you play for them having made it this far, good job all of you.

More girls will be working hard to stay in with a chance tomorrow night, so good luck to you all.

Goalkeeping Clinics

Some of you have been asking about the venue after the dats for the Goalkeeping dates were announced.

Well they are going to be held in Alexandra College from this Saturday morning for the 4 weeks.

Have fun on this brilliant course, you will learn a lot for the best goalkeeping coaches the country has to offer.

At last, dates for Leinster Goalkeeping Clinics.

A lot of you are asking when are the goalkeeping courses, well here you go.

We will have the provinces and countries top goalkeeping coaches taking this course, you won’t get better coaching. This will be the most worthwhile course you will ever do, it will well and truly set you on your way on your Hockey goalkeeping career. Ask anyone who went last year, they will tell you how much they got from it.

Venue will be announced in a day or two but here are the dates for your diary. We are looking at 3 venues in the South Dublin area.

29th May – 10:00 to 13:00

5th June – 10:00 to 13:00

12th June – 10:00 to 13:00

19 th June – 10:00 to 13:00

We shall be selecting the Goalkeepers for both the Under 16 and Under 18 Interpro squads from this course, so if want the chance you must attend this course.

2011 Leinster Under Development Course open.

It has been decided that the 2011 Leinster Under Development Course be made available to all players who narowly missed out on the Leinster Under 18 squad this irrespective of the year they were born.

If you have been notified that you have not made the Under 18 Interpro squad and would like to continue your development with some fantastic coaching at the provinces highest level please register now at www.ingage.ie/s/hockey

Times of course are as follows:

Venue: Railway Union Hockey Club

Sunday 9th May – 14:00 to 16:00

Sunday 16th May – 12:00 to 14:00

Sunday 23rd May – 10:00 to 12:00

Sunday 30th May – 14:00 to 16:00

Sunday 6th June – 12:00 to 14:00

Sunday 13th June – 10:00 to 12:00

Due to unforeseen circumstances there has to be a change this weeks timings.

St Gerards, Bray

Sat 8th May – 12:00 to 14:00

Thurs 13th May – 19:00 to 21:00 OFF

Now …… Fri 14th May – 19:00 to 21:00

Sat 15th May – 12:00 to 15:00

As you can see Thursday nights session has been moved to Friday evening and the session on Saturday is now 3 hours, so maybe bring a light lunch with you .

2011 Under 18 Development courses

Some girls have been notified that they have not made the Under 18 Squad and if they are born in 1994 in 1993 or 1994 they can take part in the 2011 Under 18 Development course, this is starting on Sunday the 19th May in Railway Union.

This is thenext step to ensuring that you have the best chance possible of making the squad next year.
